I've now done my upgrade with Master. But... I had to update Master from
2.04 to 2.06 to allow it to work with Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard); the earlier
Windows versions may be fine. If you need to do update, go directly to the
free download at:
Download Olympus Master 2 (Mac)
<https://emporium.olympus.com/downloads/OM206EN.dmg>
Download Olympus Master 2 (Win)
<https://emporium.olympus.com/downloads/OM205Win.zip>
I note that in the preparation instructions in Master, you are asked:
- If you are updating an Olympus E-System (camera), be sure to attach all
components (lens, flash, etc...) you wish to update, and then connect the
camera to your computer using a USB cable. (Cannot update firmware when
more than two lenses are attached to the camera.)
Silly me, I thought I could update all my lenses at once, not just two!
Seriously, what are they smoking, to imply that you *can* attach two lenses?
There's also the PITA "quit all applications which are running" instruction,
which I ignore.
