Agreed. When I first read the notice I thought it was telling me that
updates to the free version were ending and that I'd have to buy the pay
version 8. After careful re-reading though I realized that it was a
normal version change and there was also a free version 8. I don't
think the confusion from the wording was an accident. They do seem to
try very hard to obfuscate to get people to upgrade.
