I once attended a Unitarian "holiday" celebration. I wouldn't have
thought it possible, here I was in a church on the day before
Christmas, and the words "Christ" or "Jesus" never were uttered.
I once thought the "unit" part meant one deity. But I was married by a
self-professed Unitarian/Pagan/Buddhist minister, so I guess even that
isn't true.
But really, I think it has something vaguely to do with weights and
measures... :-)
