What Larry was saying is that while our givernment kept fuel costs very low
in the past, it kept a lot of other very needed services and products
artificially expensive (like health care). Now, fuel is getting as costly as
everywhere else but on top of that we have to contend with being screwed on
things like medical care that other countries provide for all citizens.
And, no, the USA is no longer a democracy...it is a Plutocracy.
