If you go to Vancouver and if you like seafood there are two places
that I would heartily recommend = The Fish House in Stanley Park (hot
wine tip-Burrowing Owl is on their wine list an excellent white made
in BC $85CDN) and/or The Cannery on the East Vancouver waterfront
(hot tip there is the Mussels as an appetizer - bring your appetite).
The Oregon coast is rugged and pretty- don't plan on swimming -my four
kids and I swam there as we filed back on shore to the slack jawed
amazement of the people flying kites one fellow who looked Californian
(tanned-one kid) asked if we were crazy. "What do you mean? This is
kind of a treat" I replied. "we're from Canada and normally we have to
break the ice before we go swimming!" as we filed off all the kids
desperately trying to keep a straight face.

PS yes its nice to be back. Just had to switch mail providers -
Thanks to Moose, Michael and Garth for your help.
