I got a pixma i4300, and that does CDs just fine without tweaking.
(hm, though I'm in Canada, which may be different to the US). Fairly
cheap printer, though ink is expensive, and unlike the sadly-missed i960
that preceded it, these cartridges have chips, so replacing them with
OEM ink is a bit fiddlier. (not impossible, but it looks fiddlier than
I'd like).
