There are some attachment issues I find disturbing - at a Dalai Lama
'event' at the Rod Laver Areana (Melbourne) last year, I was
enthusiastically dissuaded from using the 5D/70-200mm in the 20th row
by an official. I pointed out the rash of P&S flashes going off I was
informed 'Yes, but you have equipment capable of taking a good
photo'. Er yes....?
Apparently it might compromise sales of 'Dalai Lama Merchandise'
outside. Hmmmm.
Any irony was lost on the suit involved. (What's the name of that
device then Piers?)
No, I did not buy the T shirt or the DVD or.....
