Agreed, the 'class' is overbroad.

It could make sense. The pros might be less impressed to what they
got relative to their money than the amateurs.
Just like, at least judging by a sampling of the DPReview Olympus
dSLR, the E-510 raised much less teethgrinding than the E-3 with its
plastic doors, misaligned sensors, focus problems and whatever.
An evaluation is not only technical, but also about what you get for
what you paid.
