I'm similar to you. In fact, I usually have to hunt for my flash
when I have occasion to need it. But, last year one of my
great-nieces demanded that I shoot her senior pictures. She had
looked at some landscape pictures I shot in Nova Scotia and other
places and thought that since she liked those that I should be able
to shoot her's too. I tried to talk her out of it but she wouldn't
take no for an answer. I ended up using fill flash for all the shots
and, thank goodness, there were a some in the bunch that she
liked. I think the fact that she was a pretty seventeen year old
made things easier for me.
