My daughter got married a year ago.They engaged a "professional"
to shoot the wedding, and paid "upfront" for all expenses. MISTAKE! The
prints arrived eventually...about 6weeks after promised date.
The wedding took place at a hotel with lovely views over a valley, with
a ruined abbey about 300yds away. The hotel gardens were also very
pretty.
Unfortunately we had continual heavy rain all day! So pictures had to
be taken indoors in cramped conditions. There seemed to be radiators,
light fittings and switches wherever you looked. Made things very
difficult.
Photos outside would have been much better.
I had started with the idea of taking lots of photo's but soon realised
that enjoying the day was FAR more important. I took some shots BUT was
glad to let the Photographer take the responsibility!
Some of the nicest shots of the day were taken with the disposable
cameras placed on the tables..especially those taken by children
present!
I was able to get a good deal from a camera shop friend of mine for 25
disposable cameras plus developing and printing.
If You can get a "pro" to do the wedding for a reasonable price go for
it!...but ask to see examples of his/her work first.
