At an RRP of AU$350 I'd expect it to sell in the US for a similar
price to the 35mm macro (just over $200) - we pay rather inflated
prices down here. The 50 macro is over US$600 here compared to B&H
price of just over $400.
Interesting that now some of the most interesting and cheaper digital
primes are 4/3rds. This seems like as close to a pancake 50mm as
we've seen in years -
95g (3.5oz. approx) 23.5mm deep (just under 1"), 43mm filter size,
aluminium screw-in cap, screw-in lens hood (optional).
It all sounds rather Pentax Limited - very cute.
With a light body like a 400/500 series, it's back to the pocket SLR
(OM1/40mm or Pentax M/40mm pancake).
