My 'everyday' bag is currently a LowePro CompuDaypack. I really like it, and
it is quite comfortable to carry. However, I have two problems with the it:
1. With the camera stored lens-down as the bag is designed, I cannot keep my
14-54mm lens mounted on the E-510 (and I can't figure out a good way to
rearrange the padding to accomplish this. 2. I can't retrieve the camera
without taking off the backpack and setting it down.
The Fastpack 250 (or 350) seems like it would solve both of these problems
however from the photos i've seen it looks like the non-camera/computer "stuff"
part of the bag is greatly reduced in size -- and since this is the bag I take
back and forth to work every day I occasionally need to carry a book and/or a
largish HP calculator. Unfortunately, there are no local dealers that stock
the fastpack so I can see one. Can you give me an idea of how big this
compartment is?
Thanks,
Steve

I have just got a fastpack 250 from lowepro - first impressions are good
it seems more comfortable to carry heavy camera stuff than the slingshot
200 it replaces. In black it looks plain and just like any old rucksack
