Canon seems to me to provide the model for camera software support*.
They provide everything you need, all at least decent quality, with the
camera, update it regularly, and the updates are free. That includes RAW
conversion, image editing, image download/management, remote operation
and photo stitching software.
I just shake my head every time I hear about the endless shortcomings of
Oly software. And they have the nerve to charge for some of it!

The one real shortcoming of ACR, in my mind, is that it doesn't let one
choose the in-camera parameters other than color temp.
