Excellent.
We live on the Western slope of some decent sized hills with tall trees
immediately to the East. So we wouldn't have seen the eclipse iwthout
taking a ride. (Un)fortunately, that wasn't an option we had to
consider, as moderate cloud cover meant no shot anyway.

Absent my own shot to doctor, I hope you don't mind my imagination
experiment with yours. I imagined I was just above the Earth's
atmosphere, with the view unaffected by all those miles of dust and
moisture laden air.
