Well, Don't you just love it when a cloud deck rolls in right when
you don't want it too? And then it clears up right when the full
eclipse ends? Grrr.
However, it was NOT a totally lost effort in mid-Iowa. I had
attempted to photograph the last flyover of the spy satellite, but
the western sky was just light enough that I couldn't see it.
However, turning around and looking east I was startled to see a
beautiful moondog. I whipped the camera around the other direction
and snapped two pictures of it before it disappeared within seconds.
I then got some night shots of a new bio-diesel plant. The mixed
lighting (sodium vapor, etc) gave some cool colors to the scene once
WB was adjusted.
Cold? man-alive. I usually don't mind winter too much, but this is
really getting old.
