On the other hand, you _can_ do it on the website -- so I can upload
images at home, then in spare time at work go back and update the
comments. It wouldn't be very difficult to write a little app manage the
metadata files offline, though admittedly if you're writing extra
helpers, that's not as easy as it might be.

For what it's worth, I've patched my singapore install to display exif
info -- not all that hard, and I can pass on instructions if you like.
