The other Sony Alphas have just been follow-ons of the Minolta and
Konica-Minolta cameras so I don't see any reason to assume that a new
Alpha would use a different lens mount. In fact, I believe that the use
of the "Alpha" name would signify a Minolta mount as "Alpha" is the name
used by Minolta in Japan for the AF film line known as Minolta "Maxxum"
and "Dynax" in other markets. If it's fully compatible with all the old
AF lenses it will offer a body driven focus motor as well as more modern
in-lens focus motor support.
