Of course it doesn't actually take 4 weeks to repair a camera. If I
start a repair on a certain day, it ships next UPS pickup. When a
repair is approved, it just goes to the end of the line,
usually with 20-25 older repairs to do first.
A recent customer bought a BGN M-1 from KEH. Meter off 10 stops (REALLY
messed up), no slit at high shutter speeds, bad prism, bad eyepiece
glass. Yikes, and he paid $300 for it. He wasn't interested in
returning it to the dealer. Outer appearence was quite good,
enough for him to want to invest another $200 into it.
