That's true. I had am OM-4T for years with no cover glass and I didn't know
it was gone. I actually think Olympus gave it to me like that. They gave it
to me after they couldn't repair an OM-G I sent them for repair in the early
90's. They tried 4 times to fix the OM-G and never got it working so they
gave me the OM-4T. It was a refurbished item and I don't remember ever
seeing the cover glass on the viewfinder. I sent it to John last year for
CLA and he replaced the glass.
