The UK consist of England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland, which
are different countries, but share the same Queen, who is also queen
in the Commonwealth, so is queen of more of less 170 countries.
They're part of the European Union, but decided against the Euro and
kept the Pound.
The Republic of Ireland is also part of the EU but decided to adopt the Euro.
No to offend anybody, but the Scotts have their own Pound mainly to
buy fried stuff: you can buy fried Mars bars and other candy bars
there and anything you can think of. They seem to like the taste.
[Please don't try this at home]
Enjoy your Xmas meal.
