Guess it depends on which way you'd like to figure your ratios. I
assume you mean 1/2 life size (1:2) instead of twice life size (2:1)
According to the instruction sheet the MFTC yields 1:1.7 at 90mm using a
Vivitar 28-90 and 1:2.1 using a Vivitar 135/2.8. So a 1:2 capability
sounds about right for a 105.
For a 50mm lens it yields a max of 1:1.1. The 50mm scale is labeled to
1:1.5 but extends beyond that to what must be 1:1.1 or 90% life size.
