Well, at least a few list members were interested in the Voigt. 125/2.5
macro for OM vs the Zuiko 135. Had only 2 shots left on my last roll
of Velvia and 40min of good light. Lucky I took something out back as
the night was the first hard frost and any remaining hardy plants were
frozen mush (now covered in white) by the next day.
The voigt loses 1 stop going to 1:2 (and approx 1 more to 1:1) as does
the Z. 135 on the autotube. The Voigtlander is heavier though takes up
less volume. The grey matter based Zuikocentric focus confirmation
chip was initially confused and oddly hunting despite superb optics,
bright viewfinder with a very nice 2-13. Dawned on me that the
helicoid focuses out counterclockwise --the "wrong" (?Nikonian) way.
It handles like a precision instrument but can leave fingerprints---I
wiped it off after use.
Well, I suppose a couple shots are better than nothing with the evasive
Big Foot.
I'll do some comparison shots another time.
I'm certainly not selling the Z.135 or the Z. 80 for that matter.
