I remembered reading that statement once, I didn't check it for
scientific validity. The size must be without the lens opened. When
closed, the TC-1 is almost a perfect box, no protruding elements. The
lens also sticks out a few mm when opened. It's an extremely
impressive feat and I adored that camera, hence the high price (which
is still lower than a TC-1 in the original box that went for €550 on
the Bay recently).
