These contacts are to tell the Pentax camera the focal length, and
aperture information, any MTF information put on the chip, etc. No
in-lens motor (Its an old lens). The circle with slot next to the bottom
screw connects the focus motor. Full metering, auto-diaphragm, all auto
& program modes including MTF, and auto focus in all Pentax bodies
including the ones made right now. (K10D, etc.)
