There are at least a few beaches in Maine that are very nice. Ogunquit,
Wells and Old Orchard are obvious. There's a nice one near Owl's head,
close to the transport museum posted here a bit ago. The bit of cloud
that I think looks like a baby dragon in my Maine Clouds posts was shot
there.
Also a lovely little one on Bailey Island. But it is completely
unmarked. On private land, but open to anyone who finds it. Known mostly
only to locals, including the seasonal one who took us to it. I doubt if
I could find it on my own today, but who knows.
