the post inspired me to research bamboo for my acreage, I have 12 acres and am
going on a major planting campaign in the spring, many hundreds of seedlings to
go in, all vareties, and some bamboo in one of the corners of the acreage
wouldnt hurt at all..just that sourcing is the time consuming process...
I want as much diversity in plant species as I can get on the 12 acres...about
14 more days and I will be moving there.. finally getting my own chunk of
dirt...

I presume that given your location - Zone 2 is rather chilly?
The Arrow bamboo that Pandas eat is a high latitude species which
survives very cold hinterland winter temperatures so such species do
exist.
