Happy memories evoked, Martin, thanks. The Peterhof images were especially
interesting - did they tell you that *everything* you see in those images
(and everything at Peterhof) is no more than c. 50 years old? Peterhof was
completely destroyed between 1941 and 1945, but rebuilt post-war. When I
first visited in 1970 the rebuilding was complete, but the internals were
still in progress - the tour included at least one room where the parquet
flooring was unfinished.
