Thanks for putting it into perspective, Moose.
I have visited California a few times. The first was by driving from
Nellis AFB in Las Vegas to Los Angeles. The second was San Diego
when I had some flying to do from Miramar. So my view of California
is almost entirely the south, and I do forget about the great expanse
of varying terrain (and climate) to the north and east.
