Reichman's site (mentioned in a recent link) indicated he was going to
take the 24-105/4 plus 70-200/2.8 lenses along with the brand new
1DSIII to Madagascar. Interesting that he would take a very heavy
camera body along with a lens which the 5D can out-perform at the long
end. He did mention water though.
The Zuiko 12-60 f2.8-4 looks like it is slightly lighter 575g vs 670g
has a slight aperture advantage, slightly longer reach, and according
to Olympus has the fastest AF (when mounted to an E-3).

The faster aperture wouldn't gain anything for shallow DOF because of
the smaller sensor size. The faster aperture would partially make up
for noisier sensor at high ISO.
