I just received this same brochure in the mail this afternoon.
Fairly impressive little package came. The brochure, a "personalized"
letter from Olympus America, a rather slick little pen (it's always
pens, isn't it?), and a rebate offer (looks like $100.00 U.S. -- now
that the Canadian dollar's above par for the first time since I was a
teenager, not nearly so impressive for me, but what the heck...).
The only real "surprise" is that it's still a 10.1 MPixel effective
imager, with 12-bit. Not a deal-breaker for me (it *looks* to be really
ergonomic, and of course it's fully weather-sealed like the E-1), but
I'm also waiting for the announcement of the new 50-200 zoom (which is
supposed to come with a faster focusing motor system and is rumoured to
deal with the vignetting problems of the "old" 50-200). The "new"
50-200 is featured on the back of the brochure (though there's just a
picture, no other info), as well as the 12-60 f2.8-4.0 and the 14-35
f2.0 (all SWD focus-motor-driven). Prices available tomorrow, I guess.
Anyone want me to re-post the back of the brochure? The PDF that's up
now is adequate as far as I can tell, but if anyone needs clarification
of anything 'cause they can't read it...
