We're damp and grey today - more meteorologically normal, you might say.
The Rideau Canal, running some 200 km, from Kingston to Ottawa is a
World Heritage Site. Built after the war of 1812 to get goods safely
(i.e., far enough from the "enemy" to the south) from the Great Lakes to
Montreal.
