I'm a fan of both lenses, but I'm dubious about this claim. For one
thing, the ZD 50/2 has an unusual concave front element.
I'm a little uneasy with statements like "exactly the same... but..."
How can two lenses be "exactly the same" and yet "elements have been
changed?"
As best I can determine, the ZD has 11 elements in 10 groups, whereas
the OM has 9 elements in 7 groups, the ZD has 7 blades, the OM has 6.
Sorry if I'm being a pedant. As I said, I think both lenses are at or
near the top of the class. I just don't understand the "exactly the
same" bit.
