It seems that if I leave my Optiquest V95 on all the time (except when I
go to bed) with just a screensaver instead of having the power settings
set to put it in sleep mode after 15 minutes of non use, the darn thing
remains stable... it doesn't do the resizing thing. Because of my
experimentation, I probably bought myself a little more time though I'm
not so sure that's a good thing.
At this point it looks like I might be purchasing the Samsung 226BW
(thanks Moose for your input) or Dell E228WFP though I'm leaning toward
the 226BW due to the rebate. I have to go into town tomorrow so while
I'm there, I'll check out the image quality of TN type panel monitors.
I'm a bit on the fence on whether to purchase a TN or go for a S-IPS or
S-PVA at a later date... the 215TW looks awfully nice. The Dell 2007WFP
doesn't look bad either. I'm just not sure the limited viewing angle of
the TN panels will be a problem.
