Tiny dust flecks eventually find their way into a lens and can end up on
the 2 lens surfaces that face the diaphragm. It's possible they've been
there a long time, seller couldn't see them or didn't look. Clean is
best, but they won't affect performance and I'll bet shipping had
nothing to do with it.
