Yeah, well most people seem to use UV filters for "protection" rather than a
need to eliminate UV.
I wonder what the UV transmission characteristics of these modern plastic
lenses is like ?
Anyway the amount of UV that actually gets through a lens will depend on a lot
of stuff, wavelength of the UV, type of glass, number of elements, coatings,
etc.
