Subject: [OM] Nice Grain Stuff
Having warmed again to black and white film, I loaded my OM-4 T with
Ilford HP5, cranked the ISO wheel up to 3200ASA, attached a Motor Drive 2
with a Quartz Interval Timer, and ended up with this animated .gif
(from a file manually stacked in Photoshop).
Earlier in the performance, a thin curtain of smoke was plumed behind
the musicians as a backdrop. I wondered at the time if I was capturing
that on film. Well, yes and no: you can see residual traces of the
smoke being lit by light reflected from the cymbals whenever the drummer
hits them, sweeping through the thickened air and across my camera's
lens... pretty cool.

Yes of course. 400 ISO film never had any noise now did it, just that
nice 'grain' stuff.
