Having warmed again to black and white film, I loaded my OM-4 T with Ilford
HP5, cranked the ISO wheel up to 3200ASA, attached a Motor Drive 2 with a
Quartz Interval Timer, and ended up with this animated .gif (from a file
manually stacked in Photoshop).
Earlier in the performance, a thin curtain of smoke was plumed behind the
musicians as a backdrop. I wondered at the time if I was capturing that on
film. Well, yes and no: you can see residual traces of the smoke being lit by
light reflected from the cymbals whenever the drummer hits them, sweeping
through the thickened air and across my camera's lens... pretty cool.

Yes of course. 400 ISO film never had any noise now did it, just that
nice 'grain' stuff.
