I have always been a tele & macro guy. But I jumped to FF anyway. The
central area of the 5D, although having fewer pixels, out resolves the
snesor on the 300D I replaced. So I gave up nothing on the long end and
gained a lot in so many other respects.
Reading M. Reitmann's 40D hands on report*, it looks like it would be a
terrific complement to the 5D for us tele/macro hounds. A tele cam and a
WA/landscape cam that back each other up. :-)
