To your last two questions, yes and yes.
The E-410 is the DSLR that Oly should have released to the market four
years ago, followed by the E-1. Put a legacy 50mm lens on it, and it's
basically a digital OM-4. Its menu system's a bit clunky, but y'know,
that could all be fixed with firmware upgrades, assuming Oly wanted to.
But I'll live with it as it is -- and if the new E-Pro-Thingie isn't a
great leap forward from the guts of the E-410 (particularly in terms of
the dynamic range, which is a bit lower than the E-1), I may not move up
until the E-Pro-Thingie+1 (or +N, I guess...).
Of course, I'm spoiled by the Digital Zuiko 7-14mm F/4.0 I bought to go
with it. ;-)
