The flashing lightning bolt occurs for a few seconds after full
discharge of the built in flash and the picture is underexposed. Just
tried it with my D200 and reviewing the image does not produce the
flashing icon. The shot data screen indicates a flash underexposure
though.
I was mistaken on turning off the review histogram. I remembered the
D100. Sigh. The D200 cycles through the review data screens with the
up or down arrow on the 4 way control.
