Consider a step up in processor. The E6700/6750 double the L2 cache, in
addition to having a higher bus speed for very little more money.

My machine has Viiv, which seems to be a separate thing from the
processor itself. When I click on the icon, it goes into a set-up song
and dance that seems to be all about in-home multi media involving TVs,
recording TV content and heaven knows what else. I stopped the set-up
and have to date explored no further.
I'll probably find a use about the time it has become obsolete. Lest you
think that's old fart luddite talk, our new cell phones are MP3 players
as well. They can also download music and video and heaven knows what
else. Oh, yeah, they do GPS based navigation too. Nice thingies - and
they work fine for phone calls too.
