Wow. I thought rails did go everwhere in the UK. My personal opinion
is that the single greatest cultural mistake the collective
population of the US ever made, bar none (slavery possible exception,
except that decision was made while still under colonial status) was
the decision to forego the rail network for the automobile after
World War II.
