The only books I'm familiar with for flash photography are really about
studio photography and the technical aspects of flash photography are
secondary. Since I also recommended an on-line source for flash
photography I decided that I should search for a good book on the
subject. Searching the used books on Amazon for a good deal I came up
with this for $3.39 + $3.99 shipping and just ordered it.
<http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Flash-Kodak-Workshop-Neubart/dp/0879857722/ref=sr_1_23/103-1014642-6643808?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1184586169&sr=1-23>
Since I don't have the book yet (and it will probably take a week to get
here from Washington state) I can't evaluate it yet. But the fact that
it's a Kodak workshop publication means that I probably can't go far
wrong for $7.38. The two people who have reviewed it liked it. Just be
advised that this book is not about the specifics of using your
Canyon/Nykon/Olympus TTL-o-matic flash.
