Quick question regarding Li-ion batteries. The D80
uses a "EN-EL3e" battery. I purchased 2 Energizer
compatible batteries today to use in the grip. The
Engergizer package states "compatible with "EN-EL3"
and their website states "compatible w/ EN-EL3e". The
N*kon grip instructions specifically says to use only
"EN-EL3e" batteries.
The batteries look identical except the Nikon battery
has 3 terminals (- + and "S"). The Energizer has 2 (-
+). What is the "S" on the N*kon battery?. Can I use
these batteries w/o affecting the camera/grip?
BTW sorry for the OT but I asked on other forums and I
got a "duh" back. No one had a clue.
