Thanks, but how dumb am I. I had been told that the Adobe raw slider
control labeled "clarity" was the same as local contrast enhancement
using unsharp mask. When using the clarity slider on all the images I
could see very little difference from low to high so just left it
setting at 50 for most shots.
Now that I'm all done and have send 93 prints of a lab I decided to
actually test this hypothesis. Whoops! I can tell there's a lot more
"clarity" yet to be added using LCE in PhotoShop. Don't believe all you
read.
