When you hit the IS button on the back of the E-510, you will notice that the
default is Off. There are two IS settings: IS-1 and IS-2. IS-1 engages both the
vertical and the horizontal IS. IS-2 turns off the horizontal IS for panning
shots. I use IS-1 most of the time. Did you turn on the IS function or did you
use the camera with the default Off setting?
