(http://tinyurl.com/ytgdov) "Apple, Leopard UNIX will be an Open
Brand UNIX 03 Registered Product, conforming to SUSv3 and POSIX
1003.1 specifications. That means the next generation of OS X will be
fully leaded UNIX without any odd dialectical quirkiness."
Actually, you can download the source code for Darwin, which is
everything MacOS X except the GUI, and compile it for the machine of
your choice -- for free.
Sounds like it's the "other platform" that is "closed" and
"unlicensable" not MacOS. Or has Billy Boy conformed Winblows to
international standards and started distributing its source code
without telling anyone?
