I always end up with two layers, the original and the combination of
whatever I've done, which may involve many layers. I can then simply
move the opacity slider of the top layer to slide smoothly from more to
less overall effect. Someday, I'll find a way to do that with a roll-over.

And thanks again! But now that I know somebody is paying close
attention, I feel bad that I was a little sloppy. I wanted the distant
hills to go to silhouette, but didn't separate the rocks from them and
lost too much interesting shadow detail in the big rocks. I've added a
second roll-over layer to correct that. I took out the boat, too, while
I was at it.

Yes, it certainly is! And the person "makes" the shot, hence the title I
gave it. (Although it could be sunrise, for all I know.)
