I really like to hear stories like this. I guess I must be getting
sentimental in my old age, because I have also bought a few things lately
that I had when young, such as a copy of my first hunting rifle, etc.
Fortunately, I still have the cameras I first owned, with the exception of
my very first which was a kodak Instamatic 104, which was also a gift from
my parents. If I ever do find a replacement one, unlike your camera, it
would obviously be a shelf ornament only.
