[OM] Buying a Tamron 80-200 f2.8

I recently started buying some OM System equipment from Vintage Visuals in
Calgary, Alberta. I started off small - just a patch cord to connect the
shutter trigger on a new KEH T45 flash to my motor drive - and worked my way up
through various small accessories to some lenses. No problems per say until I
ordered a "MINT IN THE BOX" Zuiko 35-70 F4 lens. It was in a box, but, the box
it was in had a different serial number than the lens it contained. I noticed
this after a careful examination of the lens revealed some wear on the rubber
of the focusing rings. I guess I am lucky in that the wear seems to be very
localized, and indicates its previous owner had long nails - I'm guessing a
woman, and from the framing indicated, someone who did a lot of flower
photography... the equivalent of that used car the old lady only drove on
Sundays, to church.

Looking more closely at the Zuiko 65-200 F4 zoom I had previously purchased,
I again noticed that the serial number of the box didn't match the number on
the lens.

Now, they are both beautiful lenses and I far prefer them to the Tokina ATX
28-80 F3.5/4.5 and Vivitar Series One 70-210 F3.5/4.5 lenses that they replace
(I really like having the constant F4 exposure value throughout the zoom range,
for the OM-4 T's spot metering)... but one at least was not what it was
advertised to be. When I asked them about it, they stopped replying to my
e-mails...

Hi,

as I'm doing quite a lot of concert and theatre stuff lately, I was
looking for a good tele prime (180 f2.8) but I found out that the
mentioned Tamron 80-200 is just a bit more expensive, so I'm currently
looking for one, for my OM 4. I have seen that vintagevisuals has one
listed, but as I'm from Europe (Vienna to be exactly) I'd prefer to buy
one on my continent (EU and Swiss preffered), due to the lower shipping
costs and all that stuff. Has anybody some information where to get one
of
those? I don't mind wether it's a shop or a person, if there's anyone
here, who wants to get rid of his.

Thanks in advance,
Arno
